~ Websites

My passion for website development started when I took a class on Dreamweaver. Since then I've been hard at work developing websites and my skills. Check out samples of my work below.

    Linden Gardens -visit website

Linden Gardens is a privately owned garden who's desire is to share their passion for gardening with others. The goal for their website was a way to offer information, news and updates of upcoming events to people.

Ease of use and an inviting format for users were the key points in the design. One feature wanted by the client was a focus on pictures of the gardens and iron work.

The design is based on the use of CSS with some Javascript to provide slide shows of images on the home and iron work page. The goal of this project was to produce a visually appealing site, that is rich in images without overwhelming the visitors.

    Sonju Industrial -visit website

Sonju Industrial is a manufacturing company that was looking for a fresh, clean look to their current site. Features they desired in their site was to have a fluid, industrial design with forms for users to contact them. They also wanted an engaging and dynamic home page that drew the visitor into the site.

To accomplish this I designed a flash video that presents a key statement about the business and three areas to contain the most important information and links to those pages. Displayed here is a small statement about the company, current news and their quality standard.

This design is built on CSS, with the addition of Flash, Javascript and Ajax.

    Rocky Mountain Treatment Center

This project for RMTC consisted of a rebranding and starting from the bottom up. In addition to their website they had various printed materials to design and wanted a cohesive design across their digital and print content. The website is focused on presenting various information in an easy to use manner.
The key design aspects they were looking for were an open and soothing design to display their information and facility. To help accomplish this I relied on the use of images and typography to create boundaries.

    JC Adams Stone Barn

    JC Adams Stone Barn-visit website

JC Adams Stone Barn is over a hundred years old and managed by a non-profit dedicated to preserving this historical site. The goal for this website was to provide information about the history, current happenings with the barn and a way visitors can send information/request to the board of directors. Future plans for the site include pages containing information about making donations and memberships.

JC Adams Stone Barn For my design, I pulled inspiration from the barn and choose colors similar to the barn. This made the design a part of the barn and showcased the grayscale pictures. A feature of this site was to include pictures of the barn and its founder to help support the history written. To build this design I used CSS and a Photoshop gallery to display pictures.

    Parker Farms Greenhouse

For Parker Farms, a small greenhouse, I built my design around bright, vibrant nature colors. The inspiration for these colors came from their logo, a nice earthy red and green. There is a lot of information to be displayed on this site and to keep the text from competing with the visual layout, I created a main content area, to limit the text displayed at one time.

This also allow for more room to create a bigger impact with the outlaying design and bring focus to the navigation. The design for this site is accomplished using CSS to control positioning and styling of elements.

    Wings of an Angel-visit website

Wings of an Angel is a horse transport and animal boarding facility. The purpose of their site is to help potential boarders find information and more importantly to promote their horse transport. Key features needed in the site was a way for visitors to request a quote, access a contract for transport and pay for services.

To meet these needs I integrated a option for payment using paypal and created a form for visitors to use to request a quote. An important feature was providing the contract and additional information needed for transport. For this I used pdfs that provide the information in a format that was easy for users to use and keep.
